Buraka Som Sistema cover Buffalo Stance for Dr. Martens

Check out this video of Portugese Kuduro group Buraka Som Sistema in the studio covering the Neneh Cherry hit ‘Buffalo Stance’. Created as part of the fifty year anniversary celebrations of Dr. Martens footwear, the group are seen in their home town of Lisbon talking about dancing, Kudoro and of course, ‘Buffalo Stance’.

Dr. Martens, who have gone through somewhat of a resurgence in popularity over the last few years, are marking their half centenary by asking a number of artists to cover songs from the classic cannon. So that means The Duke Spirit covering ‘If The Kids Are United’ by Sham 69, DaM FunK covering ‘The Things That Dreams Are Made Of’ by Human League and Noisettes covering ‘Ever Fallen In Love With Someone You Shouldn’t Have’ by The Buzzcocks.

Buraka Son Sistema’s cover of ‘Buffalo Stance’ and its accompanying video – directed by Anthony Burrill – will be available as a free download from the Dr. Martens website from May 21st.
